WHY WORK WITH US?

"Joey"  is a brand video for a Muay Thai coach. Eschewing typical action-driven videos, we focused on being authentic and impactful. ​An intimate piece on emerging from adversity wiser and more determined, this video exemplifies our ability to tell a compelling story, simply and effectively.

FIRST VIDEO IN 80 YEARS

  Kian Huat Restaurant 

A catering business wanted to promote a new collaboration. Given their low public profile, we focused on establishing credibility. Presented through the lens of the 3rd generation owner,  we wanted a sincere and intimate video to facilitate genuine emotional connections. The narrative is simple but clear - the business was and still is built upon strong values that has kept standards high.  Our client said the video exceeded their expectations.

ADAPTING TRADITION

  Project on Ji Xiang Ang Ku Kueh  

A client wanted to investigate how a traditional delicacy business remained relevant. Given a modest budget and a short turnaround time, our options were severely limited. We kept the narrative simple and direct. As the video is built upon an extensive sharing by the business owner,  we varied our camera movements, editing pace and  maximised the use of behind-the-scenes footage to maintain visual interest amidst his sharing. We also featured the manual food production process extensively to reinforce the hands-on nature of keeping the business relevant.

RECRUITING STUDENTS

  Triple Threat Basketball School  

A basketball school wanted to recruit more students. Given the availability of students for the shoot, we were tempted to go after the spectacular with an action-driven narrative.  Thankfully, we exercised restraint and prioritised one of our first principles - authenticity. This led to a video built upon testimonies of real people viewers can relate to. We also curated the multiple perspectives (those of parents, students and coach) to convey the same key message -  this a school that cares just as much about character development as they do the achievements of their students. The video quickly garnered high viewership.
